Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory and Network Infrastructure Design

Description

This course provides you with the knowledge and expertise to design a Microsoft Active Directory service and network infrastructure for a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 environment. Specifically, the course is intended for systems engineers who are responsible for designing directory services and/or the network infrastructures used to support the directory service.

 

Objectives

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Describe the process of designing an Active Directory infrastructure and a network infrastructure that supports Active Directory
  • Design a logical and physical Active Directory structure that meets the needs of an organization
  • Design a Group Policy structure that meets the needs of an organization
  • Design an administrative structure that meets the needs of an organization
  • Design a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) structure that supports Active Directory and meets the needs of an organization
  • Create a design for network access and connectivity that supports Active Directory and meets the needs of an organization
  • Design a name resolution strategy that supports Active Directory and meets the needs of an organization

This course is intended for individuals who are employed as system engineers or are seeking employment in designing an Active Directory and/or network infrastructure in a Windows Server 2003-based environment.

 

Prerequisites

Before taking this course, we recommend that learners complete the following courses:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Services Planning and Maintenance 2.0
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Strategy and Implementation 2.0 ,
or have equivalent knowledge.
